West Midlands Police Authority Members Appointed to Top Posts

Two members of West Midlands Police Authority were elected to the top two positions on the Association of Police Authorities (APA) recently when Cllr Bob Jones was re-elected as chairman and Cllr Diana Holl-Allen was elected Deputy-Chairman.

Councillor Diana Holl-Allen, Chairman of the West Midlands Police Authority said:

‘It is an honour to be elected into this role and I will do my utmost to serve the best interests of Police Authorities nationally. It is also good news for the West Midlands region as a whole, because it gives us greater opportunities to have an influence on policing policy at a high level.’

Councillor Bob Jones said:

‘I am very proud to have been re-elected to serve in this role. It is the first time that the top two posts at the APA have ever been held by two people from the same authority and is a very positive reflection on the high esteem in which West Midlands Police Authority is held nationally.’
