For tactical units who require remote portable power to drive, for example,
covert cameras and perimeter security devices, DMS technologies has developed
a range of Remote Portable Powerpacks for either AC or DC supplies. Currently
in the range are 1kW and 600W AC units and a 44Ah DC unit, both based
upon sealed lead acid battery technology. Lithium Ion technology products
that will both increase output and reduce unit weight will shortly complement
this range. For example, the RedFlash Li100 battery weighs only 15.8kgs
- an equivalent lead acid battery weighs in excess of 30kgs.
DMS is releasing a new range of Deep Cycle batteries under the Red Flash
brand. These new batteries, utilising absorbed glass mat technology for
safety and low maintenance, will effortlessly handle on-board vehicle
power requirements for tactical communications, surveillance, extra lighting
etc.
DMS technologies has a highly qualified technical team capable of designing
solutions for the widest range of power requirements. ‘Recent examples
of our specialist capability include assembling rechargeable lithium battery
packs for motorsport applications, replacement powerpacks to drive the
barrel motor and ammunition feed for the Royal Navy's ship defence weapons
and replacement battery packs for helmet cams. Our expertise in developing

we do for Network Rail providing back-up power for signalling, point-switching
