per cent of Officers Unavailable at any one Time
Twenty per cent of officers and staff are unavailable for operational
duties at any one time, according to a report by a leading think tank.
The largest independent survey of the views of police superintendents
in England and Wales for five years was conducted as part of a major
report into police reform. It revealed startling levels of dissatisfaction
amongst commanders.

funeral for PC Jon Henry, the police officer murdered in Luton,
will be held on Monday, July 2nd. The service will be held from

Rhyme Terror Convictions
Last
week at Woolwich Crown Court seven men were convicted following an
investigation by the MPS Counter Terrorism Command. The men, all part
of a 'sleeper cell', took part in a complex plot to blow up a London
underground tunnel as well as a number of other locations. Six admitted
conspiracy to cause explosions, while a seventh was convicted of conspiracy
to murder.
