Headcams to be Rolled Out
The Home Office is to provide police with an extra £3 million to fund a national roll-out of revolutionary head camera technology, Minister of State for Police, Crime, Security and Counter-Terrorism Tony McNulty has announced.

The Association of Chief Police Officers has warned that filming all incidents may not be appropriate. Ken Jones, President of ACPO said, 'The introduction of personal digital recording equipment for police officers and staff brings benefits and risks which ACPO will now more fully consider.

PC Geoff Hince is the first ever officer from Greater Manchester Police to win the honour of the Police Federation Bravery Award for his selfless and courageous act. The award was given in recognition of PC Hince's bravery when he tackled two armed raiders at a Post Office in Salford.

Eight people have been arrested in connection with failed bomb attempts in London and Glasgow. One man was detained at Brisbane airport in Australia. A number of detainees are believed to be doctors.
