Failure
to Deport Foreign Criminals 'Deeply Regrettable' says Clarke
The
Home Secretary has called the failure to deport hundreds of foreign
criminals, including murderers and rapists 'deeply regrettable'. A total
of 1023 foreign nationals were released from prison between February
1999 and March 2006 without any consideration over whether they should
be deported.

A man has been charged in connection with the death of Northumbria PC
Joe Carroll. Steven Nigel Graham, 39, of Sandhurst Military Academy,
appeared at Bedlington Magistrates Court on April 15th charged with

in London is at a five year low and more crimes are being solved according
to annual crime figures published by the Metropolitan Police. Overall
crime is down three percent, bringing the number of crimes committed down

Lack of Government funding remains the major obstacle to a successful
merger between Surrey and Sussex police forces, a public meeting has
heard. The Extraordinary Meeting, held at Surrey Police headquarters

to support the proposal by the Home Secretary to voluntarily merge with

has revealed. Thames Valley Police answered 94.7 per cent of 999 calls

answer 90 per cent of emergency calls within 10 seconds and non-emergency
calls within 40 seconds.
